I'm going to have to withdraw from the tournament. I'm moving house on Sunday and have no time to pack or clean the house so have to give myself time on Saturday for this. Will be a real shame to miss it but I don't think I can do everything on Sunday before moving. Enjoy it folks.

In aegilops I offered an 8 and I had another 8 written down and it said "xxxxxx is fine but you could have gone for yyyyyy for 8 though, unlucky" or something like that even though both were the same length.

Saw a picture of a PANGOLIN in the metro today and I commented that PANGOLINS was PLAINSONG and I had no idea what both words mean - I thought a pangolin was a musical instrument!

Yet again I go in to do the duel, I click start and wait an age for my computer to stop thrashing. When round 1 finally loads it then crashes bringing up an error message....I then can't redo round 1 and it's been lost. Just watched the ending to this game - what a cracker! Especially after Nicki apologises after round 12 as she's so far ahead, basically telling Lee he has no chance. He said "it's not over yet!" and he was right. To get the conundrum on 26 seconds too - lovely. I haven't got time to watch...

I've just had an email from East Coast trains saying that they're running a direct service from London to Lincoln from May 22nd. Not sure how many though but this may be good news for those, like Jono, travelling from the London direction.

Yes, but if you learn it it's pretty boring. This was Damian's old thing - you're not doing an anagram, just memorising an anagram of a word. Nothing wrong with it in my eyes but it's more fun unscrambling.

I had 24 hr tourney written on my calendar. Then I heard nothing about it on apterous or anything so didn't bother - I thought it had been suspended. I've now just seen it in the apterous forum, not at the top like most tourneys are (and I must say there's too many tourneys going on at the same time...
