Well, I assumed that girl/boy was equally possible, and that births on all seven days of the week were equally possible, and just did the counting from that. These were fairly straightforward 1/2 and 1/7 chances. You'd have to come up with similar figures for blond haired (how many hair colours are...

I tried watching Divided on Wednesday and had to give up. My main complaint, apart from the incredibly slow pace, was that the presenter always wanted somebody to take responsibility for the question — an incredibly tiresome device. Plus the players generally seemed to be slightly lacking in the GK ...

I considered submitting 9!!!.... (i.e factorial function applied 999 times) but find brackets need to be used to distinguish from the double factorial function, so can only get 333 repeats - probably not as good as the tower of indices. :?: :( Gavin said that he understands !, not !! or !!! etc, so...

When I tried it you could only put in the connection for the group if you got all 4 (on the show you get a point for each group, and then a point for each connection, even for groups you didn't spot). Consider WAKIZASHI. You see the shuffle, and you're not sure if it's spelt WAKAZASHI or WAKIZASHI, but you know it from AAHIKSWZ?. On the show it wouldn't be an issue, but on apterous it is. This implies the noun version of the word is only valid with a capital G.
