Re: The Return of Susie

Thanks for the reply Damian and your reasoning behind it. I would never make a cup of tea whilst Susie was on but then I never watch "Countdown" live and I would be surprised if many who write here do. Don't we all record it on 'Series Link' and watch it later so that we can fast forward/j...

Re: The Return of Susie

Now Susie is back and she is doing her 'origins of words' feature I again, I think it odd that Damian puts her before the second numbers game. We get the guest to camera bit at the end of Part 1 (after the numbers) and before the teaser and break, Susie would surely be better placed in the correspon...

Re: Des - Hearing Difficulties

Two further posts, Damian - but still no answer to any of my questions. Just further easy-to-deliver but still-not-explained attacks on my integrity. What has my character got to do with this topic? Why not just give us some answers? If you feel you have to defend Des for some reason - fair enough....

Re: Jeremy Beadle

I actually warmed to Jeremy Beadle the older he got and thought he was a good guest on Countdown. THE SUN newspaper has given us many memorable headlines over the years, being both funny and clever, but to show a picture of a man who has died prematurely with a jokey picture of him dressed in a poli...

My wireless keyboard keeps putting in a phantom 'n' to words, for instance

'Soo' becomes 'Soon'

'Conor' becomes 'Connor'

and 'cuts' becomes

Re: Spoilers for Tuesday 29th January 2008

Ah right. I seem to be good at misinterpreting your posts Jon don't I? Oh well... :) Heh, yeah, I had noticed that theme developing too! It's not just you mate, if it makes you feel any better. I was actually called an "unfunny bigoted twat" by somebody on the mailing list once :? Yes, so...

Re: Welcome!

Hey Dad. Drat! I knew I should have disguised my name. I used to post, rather infrequently, on the Yahoo site under an assumed name but my wayward son never realised who I was even though there was a big clue at one time. :D However Soo this forum is a great improvement on the Yahoo site and well d...

Re: Welcome!

Hi My name is Chris Corby and, co-incidentally, have the same surname as one of the most famous Countdown Series' semi-finalists of all time. I watched the first edition of Countdown (live, not on YouTube last week) and have seen as many episodes as work allowed over the years. Now I am retired (ver...
