No sign of Ben yet with today's recap. If you are having diffs Ben then let us know, or I can do the recap as I back home now. Lol - it's funny how times change, and how quickly we forget... would you believe, David, that there was once a time not so long ago when there were never any recaps EVER?!...

Whether it was or it wasn't, Joseph, that book is the biggest load of crap ever - it is littered with mistakes from start to finish. On his site, Mike Brown once tried to keep a list of the mistakes, but in the end there were so many that he had to give up. So don't believe anything that book says! ...

Hmm not much reaction to today's game, given the excellent performance by David! Had you shaken off the "ennui" by now? Even if you weren't 100% yesterday you still got ECOTONE and HENNAED (ok you didn't risk the latter, but I would never even have seen it in a million years...) and a bril...

Indeed it is Jono, given that you would probably beat me more times than not if we were to play each other (certainly, in the COLIN game of yours that you've posted the details of, I would've been 10 points behind you going into the conundrum...). I could've very well been 50-0 down if I played Jack cold (it probably would've been the case, I'm not as good as I thought I was ), but I would've been okay with that, because I would prefered to have took on Jack without knowing how good he was. Yeah, that method is basically the first thing that gets tried in this case. Next is 180*4 and I probably spent the next 10 seconds looking at that, and the rest just looking for ridiculous things like going up and dividing by 25 because the selection is pretty horrible. That's the best thing about...

Footnote 2: I agree with you David, re your comments about Dave Reed (see forum for Wednesday's game), that it's better not to be first up on a recording day, and to have a game or two before your own which you can use as warm-up, getting used to the studio conditions, easing nerves etc. The recent...

I was sure INTERLADS would win the coveted award of "most 8s without a 9", but CountMax only comes up with 12x8s (and I think one of those, TRENAILS, isn't allowable anyway)... ah well. Add it to the list all the same. That selection came up in my CofC quarter-final with Graham Nash, and a...

Interesting stuff Jim, thanks for doing the work... so as well as the letters tiles being shuffled more randomly now than they were before (you're right about that Jono - Damian said so), there've also most likely been some subtle changes to the actual distribution... Everyone loves arguing about mass noun plurals, and this seems like an ideal place to do it. So I will begin by saying, OPALINES should be allowed. OPALINE isn't actually even a mass noun.
