It would make sense that the producers of the show would try to keep potential octochamps from meeting in the normal part of the series so that they could amass a nice stock of octochamps for use in the end-of-series knock out tournament. I got into football fairly late in life (if you can call twelve year's old late) so there never came a moment where I 'had to' choose a team to support, therefore I watch nearly every game for a neutral's perspective, although I do root for the British teams whenever they play in Europe.

I was also put off by the undeserved reverence that John received in yesterday's episode. I'm sure John's a nice enough guy, but I'm glad that Charlie socked it to him .
