Often the only way I can remember new words is in context, and that context is almost always the meaning. Mechanical word-learning bores the tits off me frankly, hence I have to rely on natural talent to get me as far as it has. That also explains why my performance is so erratic, I don't follow log...

Yep, I've not noticed any change with that. The button images and proper fonts only load up on the second attempt at the earliest.

I think you should add a few hundred onto everyone's rating, then multiply it by 10. That way normal people would have a rating of somewhere around a hundred instead of -100. It might be a small incentive to people who like the game but not enough to start learning the two letter extensions for LOA...

Interesting. I have a similar problem, although it seems much patchier. When I click from e-mail links into forum it sometimes asks me to log in, and sometimes doesn't. Since I keep forgetting my password and don't have Firefox at work to remember it for me, it's a butt of a big bear. Or something.
