It was basically a written test paper of words, numbers and conundrums with a time limit (I think it was about 30 in 30 minutes, but of course there was no way of checking that one minute was spent on each question). They used to rotate the lexicographers (can only remember Tania & Alison's names but think there were quite a few others) - when did Susie finally see off all the competition? I'm in the Susie over CV/Rachel camp too (probably a minority!)

Hi, I've just discovered this site. I was a quarter-finalist on series 44 (the last 30-minute series) having won six times previously. I lost interest a bit once Des L & then Des O'C took over from Richard, but have started watching again as the new Jeff/Rachel pairing definitely has potential.
