Re: Politics in General
In 2015 we had a poll for the general election, so it might be worth doing that again. I won't start a poll on whether to do a poll though. There was a separate thread as well but I think one thread with a poll should cover it.

Yes, at 127. But 128 would still be the record without the 9-point bonus for nines, and I consider that a slightly less arbitrary record.Steve Hyde wrote: ↑Thu May 23, 2024 5:32 pm He'll be disappointed with that, seemed like an eminently gettable con. Here's the updated PB list. There were improvements from Dan Byrom, Matt Could and Junaid Mubeen, and I've added Dave Robjohns, Melody Coupe, Rachael Montgomery and Adam Beach to the list. We're now on 70! Also I'm considering doing an age-graded percentage list as well. Right, I'm going to put up a...

You just seemed a bit angry at how Callum had worded the initial post when it had been resolved. No, just stated it was wrong, why would I be angry about it and what did I say that seemed that way? I don't know why you're so bitter about it. Why bitter sweetheart? Just mentioned that every time I was presented with this problem (many many times) it's always worded incorrectly and agreed with Fred. You just seemed a bit angry at how Callum had worded the initial post when it had been resolved.

But in this thread, it was clarified quite early on by Fred Mumford. The first time this problem was presented to me was with no reference to any context about the guy knowing what's behind the doors. So I said it was 50/50, which was apparently "wrong" but with no explanation. But really I wasn't wrong. But in this thread, it was clarified quite early on b...

There's an article on the BBC about falling birth rates and the problems it can cause. I wouldn't be surprised if next week there was an article about overpopulation. There have been over 8000 games of Countdown. I think it is sound. It's just a case of convincing people that the embellishment of opening an empty door is equivalent to this.

I rewatched Fawlty Towers relatively recently and was disappointed with it. For a programme that's held up as an all-time great, it hasn't really stood the test of time very well. Blackadder, on the other hand, isn't really that much younger than Fawlty Towers, but is in another league.
