Maybe you could have an initial post with just a dot in it, all discussion goes after it, and then the first post is edited to become the recap. Obviously this would have the problem that someone would always need to remember to do the dot post (presumably the person doing the recap as well).

I think the point that Damian, Charlie and Ben are trying to make is that stating there is a correlation between high scores and skill (I am an exception) is so obvious it's not even worth stating. I suspect Richard Priest's average score of 99.57 is the highest ever for someone who didn't become an Octochamp which makes him one of the best non-Octochamps ever.
