I assume you can go negative in a round, if not only do you not have all the maxes, but you get beat. Nope, because if you know you haven't got a max, you can bet zero, so you would remain on the same score, as you would in a normal game if you got beat in a round. On apterous you can have POTHEENS but not POTEENS which is inconsistent as POTHEEN is listed as an alternative spelling of POTHEEN. KATHODE is listed as an archaic spelling of CATHODE, so I think KATHODE and KATHODES should be added. (It might not be in the new edition tho, so it would be nice if someone could check again)

Well done Chris, you did very well to win what has probably been on of the best series of countdown ever. Commiserations to Andrew, but also congratulations on getting to the final.

Chris' 117 score is the second highest grand final score in the 15 round era. (I've not checked CofC final score yet)

I like the new obscurity ratings. However, it gives ORDINATE and QUIXOTIC the same obscurity rating (34%), which leads me to think that maybe omelette games shoulnd't be used in calculating the obscurity of words. (if thats how quixotic got such a common rating)

This game is Brag and Frustration. I was really chuffed with how I played, especially against a former great of the show. I think if I did actually get the seconds numbers, I would have been too nervous to spot some of the words that I did get after it. Tom was unlucky with PASSINGS.

well, in a game i was watching earlier, there was no letter response givin in the commentary unless my eyes were playing tricks. If you buzz with the enter button you can give a no letter response, But I don't know why anyone would do that.
