It's funny, because if you're not too good at Countdown, you might find yourself asking for several consecutive vowels at a time. That will make the game that much easier. I thought 7s could always be the maximum, Martin! Jason, in Countdown you need 3 vowels and if a word such as DEPARTS is spotted (which has 2 vowels) then you know the contestant will ask for at least one other vowel. My beaters have been added by David and Dinos - I got 966 in the break a harder way but still nice: 25x5+3x10+6=161. 161x6=966.

I'm not sure if this has been discovered or discussed before but the PINTERS^ stem with a U gives UNRIPEST but this is not in the dictionary, nor was it in the other ODE. How come it was included by both of me and Charlie -- I'm not sure how it's crept it. I've searched for the word unripest on here...

Not sure how to solve this but I was typing in the chatroom as I was quite pleased with my word (and it's just happened again!) and when the timer stops, the word thing appears and says "select your word" and when i press a button, it selects the top word. Turned out my top word was a boge...

GENOCIDES should be added to Countmax. I know it's a mass noun but if you look on page xii - it specifically mentions GENOCIDES is allowable. I haven't gone through the rest so there may be more. LAMBINGS as well needs to be added.

Although this wasn't a 100% game, I spotted a 100% game - I got the conundrum a fraction of a second behind Nick (I pressed the first letter but then it locked) and the one letters round where I missed a max, I saw one of the 6s but didn't risk it. Enjoy.
