I did some research, and yes, I found out who Conor Travers and Chris Wills are. They are very special people, and I'm sure Conor is still just as grown up as he was when he was on Countdown.

This was after Richard Whiteley passed away, and I think it was only appropriate that Des Lynam be chosen to replace Richard Whiteley after his death. The Countdown staff thought, "If Des Lynam can play Countdown, why not let him host Countdown?"

I talked to someone quite a while ago aside from this forum around the time Des Lynam was chosen to replace Richard Whiteley and he said, "If anyone can replace Richard Whiteley, it's Des Lynam."

Jon O'Neill. I had heard that the other people who were involved in the Countdown game Friday Night really wanted you to join in. However, it was after the two complete games that I saw when you joined in and even after you play your games, all of you are quick to speak and say what you want to say....

I have Cerebral Palsy, which means the messages in my legs do not register in the way you would expect them to.

However, if I talked to any of you on the phone you would be able to understand me with no problem, and it does not affect my typing skills at all.

They had tried to Americanize Countdown back in 1985, but the pilot was scrapped for being too intellectual.

You are right about Monterey Jack, it does come from the US.

Regular American cheese is a lot like cheddar, but it's much thinner.

I also think there's another cheese called Colby that's from here.

Absolutely. I think Des O'Connor is much better than Des Lynam also, but we all miss Richard Whiteley. I like Susie, but I don't think she would be a good fit as host of Countdown.
