I believe it was initially agreed to be 2/3 rounded up, and this always happened to be 8 apart from 2019 when it was 9. I've not changed that bit of the website yet as depending on how full a calendar we end up with for 2021 it might need changing.

FOCAL are treating 2020-2022 as one season. Obviously you can do what you like with your parkrun leaderboard but that's what's happening with the FOCAL leaderboard.

I think it's because they run multiple tests on the blood sample, so you're actually having blood tests done rather than 'a blood test'. I don't think ZoomDown would ever manage to routinely cut show length down to the same as Countdown because Countdown is edited. It generally takes as long if not longer to film an episode of Countdown than it does ZoomDown. If Countdown became a live TV show I think it would be at least 50 minutes ...
