Re: Wednesday 22nd May 2013 (Series 68, Prelim 45)

I have been trying really hard to remember exactly what happened in regards to Joe's first numbers... from what I can recall, after I'd messed up and Nick asked him to declare his working, Joe just stared at the board for several seconds before Nick stopped him and told him he'd taken too long. But ...

Re: Wednesday 22nd May 2013 (Series 68, Prelim 45)

Thanks Andy for a great recap. As I posted in the spoiler section (not to take away from Joe who's a great player), if I'd had a couple of better letters rounds and wasn't so nervous I might have been able to pull out a win but c'est la vie. It was a great day, and you never know... I may be allowed...

Thanks guys. It feels good I can talk about how I did now. Yeah, I didn't win. I put it partly down to nerves and also some tricky letters selections (including an unfairly hard conundrum), but I also don't want to take away from Joe as he did very well today and I look forward to seeing how he does...

Apologies for long absence

Hey everyone, I've been meaning to come back here for a while, and since it's my Countdown episode that's due to air tomorrow I thought now would be a good time. This was an important game for me too, as it is the final one I get to watch before filming. Let's see how I did against today's contestants. R1 - SWAGGER R2 - UNEARTHS R3 ...

Also, full kudos to Graeme and everyone for this thread. It's an amazing font of information.
