Re: Stand-up comedy

I think the thing about that sort of quick-fire one-liner comedy is that you tend to find yourself lightly tittering throughout. It's kind of vanilla in that, as you say, you'd expect there to be something for everyone, it's pretty easy comedy (to get, not necessarily to write, and Vine is excellent...

I'm considering going to Stanhope when he comes to London later in the year, it's just pretty damn expensive. But as far as "pretty damn expensive" goes, I regretted not going to see Louis C.K. when he came a couple of years ago, and look how that worked out. Some of my favourite comedians...

We have watched episode 1 which we enjoyed, though it's not always totally easy to pick up the thick dialogue. Will get round to more but haven't done in the past month for some reason. Recently we busted through 11.22.63 which had your typical Stephen King plotholes in it but we still enjoyed and w...

If you're allowed to count your lightest weight as your weight, then I can actually claim 9 stone. I went on a 24-mile marathon training run today and was 9 stone afterwards, and that was actually after drinking quite a bit first. So I would have been even less. Congratulations, you hit your goal. ...

By the way I had a go at cold pressing and it actually took me ages to even work out how to make it register on the scale, I was just squeezing the main plate on top and would have looked an absolute fool. I done a poo and now I weigh 97.4kg. I know I wrote 97kg earlier but I think I meant 97.8kg. Or 98. Or 98.7. But most probably 97.8kg. But basically I ruined it by getting it wrong earlier.

Oh and in the fat stakes I'm currently 97kg which is like 15st 5lb or something. I haven't been on C4C for a while. When I scrolled through this thread, I thought three things:

- is that why you didn't come to Colin this year?

Two points to Gevin and one to Mark.
