Re: Apterous Masters (formerly COMA) 2010

Overall result: Kirk Bevins 3 - 2 Steven Briers Game 1 http://www.apterous.org/viewgame.php?game=203393 After a couple of abysmal rounds for me I was very lucky to scrape the win in this first game, especially considering me and Kirk buzzed in for the conundrum within milliseconds of each other. Re: Spoilers For Wednesday October 21st 2009

As I was browsing the internet I came across this article on Brian. Thought I'd post the link as a warning as it contains some mega spoilers. Bit reckless of the newspaper publishers I'd say. I unfortunately stumbled across it whilst searching Countdown related articles, so if anybody else were to d...

Congratulations Kirk on winning the series, which your performances deserved, and commiserations to Jimmy, though you've certainly shown yourself to be a formidable player. I've been away from the Countdown scene for a while (due to exams, working on my novel etc...), but have still watched the show...

Congratulations Kirk on today's and all of your performances. Thankfully my recorder didn't play up so I was able to watch Countdown history being made in all its glory.

It's once again going to be strange adjusting back to 'average' contestants again for the time being.

Re: Save Our Studios

I hope not, Steven! And you want Des Lynam, Carol, Jeff and Rachel to remember you, right? If there is a target figure for the petition, then the only chance you might have of appearing on a game show is when you appear on Wogan's Perfect Recall! Sadly, we don't know if that show will get renewed y...

Re: Should the DC character, Josef Fritzl, be dropped?

Might be a coincidence but I played two games this evening and Josef Fritzel was the DC guest in both of them, and the games were more or less back to back. The skeptic in me wondered whether this was perhaps more than just random having read this thread.

Well played Richard. My chat feature wasn't working so apologies if I seemed ignorant.

Not making excuses but since CoC, I've hardly practised, but even if I had, the result would no doubt have been the same anyway.

Once again, well done, and I shall watch the rest of the tournament with interest.

Re: Spoilers for 29/01/2009, CofC semi-final #2

I have to say in my defence that the fact I didn't smile that much wasn't because I was miserable or anything; it was the shock of getting where I was, mixed with nervousness.

This was an excellent semi-final and Charlie played flawlessly, so well done to him. Commiserations to Jon though.

Re: Spoilers for Wednesday 28th January CofC XIII SF1

For some reason this was the game where I felt the most nervous, although I was nervous for all of them. Risking TOP-LINE was rather foolish as I was literally 50-50 as to whether it was hyphenated or not, but the temptation got the better of me. The conundrum was 30 seconds of complete torture for ...

It was truly a remarkable game. Had it not been for that round, me and David would've equalled each other right the way...

Watching it back my game wasn't exactly flawless. Admittedly I'm picking bones, but FIELDER/YIELDER especially are words I kick myself for missing. It was bad luck for Debbi missing the nine in the first round, and throughout she was a very nice lady, who took the result graciously.

I was also wondering how to change my username as I never quite put my full name :?
