I do refer to my pets as him and her and my family but if I don't know someone's preferred pronouns I would go out of my way to only use their first name.

Is it better to fill a kettle with cold water or warm water? Why? Well it's said that hot water freezes more quickly so maybe cold water boils faster. But how are you warming the water? If it's from the hot tap it's probably not drinking water. Only if its from a water tank rather than the mains
