In case anyone's interested...

In preparation for my first appearance on the show, I made loads of little cue-cards for "revision" purposes. (Fruitful 6s, 7s and 8s, and 6-,7-,8- and 9-letter falsagrams). Seeing as they're not a lot of use to me any more, but many hours went into making them, I wondered if anybody else ...

Tuesday 12th April 2011 (Series 64, Prelim 62)

Hello and welcome to the Countdown recap for Tuesday 12 April 2011. Puzzle Hunt

The annual Melbourne Puzzle Hunt started yesterday. I thought it may be of interest to some of you puzzle-y types. The puzzles are pretty tough, but very rewarding if you complete one of them!

Enjoy!

A sequence challenge

The head of maths here has presented me with a sequence. It was apparently in an old year 7 question sheet, and it has flummoxed the entire maths department. What are the next few terms and/or what is the formula for the sequence?

Here it is:
1, 2, 6, 15, 16, 16, —15, —17
Any thoughts welcome!
